Hi, I'm Sameer 👋
Web Developer & Technical SEO Expert

I’m a Web Developer & Technical SEO Expert with over 7 years of hands-on experience building fast, user-friendly digital products and creating tools that help people solve real problems online.

Over the years, I’ve worked at the intersection of web development, technical SEO, performance optimisation, and user experience — focusing not just on building websites that work, but creating platforms that are fast, accessible, easy to discover online, and genuinely useful.

That combination of technical development, search optimisation, and product thinking is what shaped Handwriting Repeater into what it is today: one of the most advanced free handwriting practice platforms available online.

Every tool is independently designed with a strong focus on speed, usability, accessibility, privacy-first approach, and long-term user value.

I Spotted a Real Gap Nobody Was Filling

As someone who regularly analyses search trends and user behaviour, I pay close attention to the kinds of problems people search online to solve — especially when existing tools don’t fully meet real user needs.

One pattern kept appearing consistently: students, parents, and teachers were searching for a simple, free, and reliable handwriting practice tool, yet many existing options still lacked the flexibility and features people were actually looking for.

The tools already available weren’t necessarily poor, but many felt limited, outdated, or difficult to use properly without clear guidance. Some offered only basic worksheet options, while others lacked the practical features needed for real classroom, homework, and everyday handwriting practice situations.

The demand was clearly there. People wanted something more flexible, easier to use, and genuinely designed around real learning needs rather than just generating a simple worksheet.

That gap became the foundation for Handwriting Repeater and everything it has grown into today.

From GitHub Discovery to a Complete Platform

The Discovery
During my research, I came across an open-source handwriting project on GitHub that showed potential but still felt more like an early prototype than a polished educational tool. While the core idea worked, the interface looked outdated, many useful features were missing, and there was very little guidance to help students, parents, or teachers use the tool effectively in real classroom or homework situations.
The Decision: Build Better, Not Just Different
Rather than simply republishing an existing concept with minor changes, I decided to completely redesign the experience around real user needs. The goal was to create a cleaner, more modern, and easier-to-use platform with smoother controls, better mobile usability, clearer navigation, and practical handwriting features that genuinely support both classroom teaching and home learning.
Launch & Early Feedback
After launching in 2025, Handwriting Repeater quickly started attracting students, parents, and teachers across the UK, Ireland, and Australia. Early feedback showed that people were using the platform in many different ways — from classroom projector activities and handwriting intervention support to tracing practice, imposition work, and personalised learning exercises at home.
A Complete Suite of Handwriting Tools
What started as a single handwriting concept gradually evolved into a complete collection of specialised handwriting and educational tools shaped directly by real user feedback. Every major improvement has focused on making the platform faster, easier to use, more accessible, and genuinely helpful for everyday learning situations.

I never wanted to simply recreate what already existed online. I wanted to build a handwriting platform that genuinely works for real people — whether that’s a teacher using it in class, a parent helping at home, or a student practising late in the evening. The original GitHub project showed the idea had potential, but everything beyond that point was redesigned and expanded around real educational needs.

Why Handwriting Matters

Physical writing exercises build neural connections and fine motor structures that typing alone cannot fully reproduce.

Cognitive
  • Neural development — activates multiple brain regions typing doesn't
  • Better memory — handwritten notes improve recall vs typing
  • Creativity boost — physical writing stimulates idea generation
Developmental
  • Fine motor skills — essential for many broader activities
  • Reading readiness — children who write learn to read faster
  • Self-expression — a personal touch digital typing cannot replicate
